REQUESTS
For clarity, we ask that all service requests and task lists are put in writing or submitted through our online portal. This process helps to prevent misunderstandings or miscommunication. Please email all requests to support@yourtimecharleston.com. You will receive confirmation within 4 business hours and will be updated regularly. Should confirmation not be received within this timeframe, please text 843-870-0777. If you do not have access to email, we do allow phone requests.
NON-SOLICITATION
We love our Assistants and know you will too! We take a lot of time and effort to find and train reliable, efficient, trustworthy, and friendly Assistants. Our Assistants are the core of our business.
Therefore, Assistants have signed a non-solicitation/non-competition clause and are not available for hire or contract, directly or indirectly, without the express written consent of Your Time, LLC. During the Contract Period and for a period of two (2) years thereafter, you, your family, associates, business, shall not refer or pay for services to any of Your Time’s Contractors/Assistants, without prior written authorization from Your Time.
If you, your company, or associates want to hire your Personal Assistant directly, contact us to find out about our ‘contract to hire’ policy and fees.
If an Assistant offers to work for you on the side, contact us immediately. This is a breach of our policy and displays questionable integrity.
CANCELLATION POLICY & REQUEST TO CHANGE YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED ASSISTANT’S TIME
For One Time Service and Membership:
In the event of cancellation, Clients will be charged the task-set-up fee and any additional time preparing for the task (communications, route planning, assignment time, etc.). In addition, clients will be charged for the scheduled time if given less than 2 business days’ notice.
For Regularly Scheduled:
We require one month’s advance notice to cancel service or decrease the number of weekly contracted hours. If you need your Assistant to come on a different day, you will have to add time to that week. They will come on their regularly scheduled time and again on an additional day.
FEES AND PAYMENT
HOURLY RATES
You will be charged an hourly rate, depending on your Assistant. You are required to pay for the requested time. See our Cancellation Policy below.
TASK SET-UP FEE
If you need to request additional service, we will match you with the best available Assistant.
- $15 Regular Task Set-up
- $30 Last-Minute Task Set-up (less than 2 business days’ notice)
PAYMENTS
Your checking account or credit card will be automatically charged every two weeks for services rendered; purchases* made on your behalf, and other fees/charges. You will be invoiced and charged every two weeks. We must be notified of any incorrect charges within 10 business days. We charge your card 10-15 business days after being invoiced. If Your Time is unable to process your payment or if the card is declined or the payment is returned, there will be a $35 fee.
PURCHASES AND REIMBURSEMENT
Shopping, vendor charges, merchandise, shipping, products, parking, services, or any other expense incurred on your behalf are not included in the hourly rates/packages and will be billed separately.
You can either give your Assistant money to pay on your behalf or ask them to use Your Time Company Card.
If the Your Time Card is used, you will be invoiced for these charges and the receipts will be attached. There is a $10 processing fee per billing/invoicing cycle and a 5% convenience fee for all purchases put on the card.
Certain purchases will require an upfront payment. If applicable, you will be notified in advance.
It is your responsibility to review invoices, receipts, credit card activity, and reconciliation. If your Assistant is using your credit card, we recommend getting notifications on purchases and then checking receipts when you get home. Your Time is not responsible for unauthorized purchases. We recommend using a credit card rather than a bank card.
MILEAGE
You will be charged 55 cents per mile for errands. This charge will appear on your invoice every two weeks. This is subject to change.
TRAVEL FEE
If your request involves travel(not virtual) and your assistant/organizer works less than 4 hours, you will be charged a travel fee to help cover your Assistant’s travel time. $20 Regular Assistants and Assistant Organizer, $30 for GSA and Leads.
If you live more than 10 miles from 29401, additional fees may apply. We will let you know in advance.
RATE INCREASES

TIME CALCULATION POLICY
Time is billed in 5-minute increments with a 15-minute minimum on one-off tasks. In addition to time spent on a task and communication, you will be billed for services including, but not limited to, your Personal Assistant’s travel time on errands.
If you are with your Assistant or communicating with your Assistant, you are being charged. We understand that you sometimes need support at social gatherings or to just talk you through your day/goals/fears. Assistants are required to stay sober and will be on the clock at all times.
Time is also charged for time spent waiting for service, time spent in driving and in traffic while running errands, emails, texts, phone calls, setting up new requests, end of day messages, project overviews, message archiving, etc.
There is a 1 hour minimum for tasks requiring travel.

FOR REGULARLY SCHEDULED SERVICE:
SCHEDULED TIME
You reserve a set amount of time each week (minimum of 4 hours) and are given a discounted rate to help keep your Assistant’s hours consistent. Unless otherwise approved, these hours will be scheduled on the same days/times each week/month.
- If your Assistant finishes early, they will look around for things to do or look to your “If extra time” list.
- If you need extra help, your Assistant will do their best to accommodate or you can call the office to request another Assistant.
- To ensure your Assistant is given enough time to find another good match, we require a 1-month notice to cancel service.
SICK DAYS – VACATION DAYS
If your Regular Assistant is out sick or on vacation, they will contact you to reschedule or offer to find a replacement.
If you will be out of town or are sick, you can give your Assistant the gift of paid time off or have a list of things they can do in your absence or virtually. Many Assistants are dependent on your hours.
TRAINING A REPLACEMENT
Unfortunately, Assistants aren’t forever. If your Assistant puts in their notice, Your Time will provide the new Assistant. We provide:
- 30 minutes to familiarize themselves with your checklists
- 1 hour to shadow your current assistant or to meet with you
If the Assistant needs more than this for your customized lists/preference/training, you will be charged the regular hourly rate.
If you need a fill-in for your Assistant temporarily, you will be charged for any requested training or shadowing. The substitute Assistant will also charge 30 minutes to review your projects and checklists so that they are prepared.
HOLIDAYS
We value our Assistants’ life balance, too!
Our Assistants have the option to take the following days off unpaid:
New Year’s Eve (after 12 pm) & Day * Easter * Memorial Day * 4th of July * Labor Day *Thanksgiving Eve (after 12 pm) & Day & Black Friday * Christmas Eve & Day & Boxing Day
If your Regularly Scheduled Assistant is scheduled on a holiday, they have the option to make up the time on a different day in the pay period or to take the day off, unpaid. This ensures steady income and happy Assistants.
If you need an Assistant on a holiday, an additional $15 per hour will be charged.
SEVERE WEATHER
If conditions are unsafe, your Assistant will not attempt travel. During Mandatory Evacuations, we cannot provide service. If your regularly scheduled assistant can’t perform their duties, we ask that you let them try and make up some of the lost income the following week/s or provide them with virtual work.
MEALS/BREAKS
If your assistant works 6+ hours, they will get a paid 30-minute lunch break. Please feel free to join them and get to know them.
If your assistant is doing more physically challenging work (Lead/Assistant Organizing) they can take a 5-10 minute paid resting time every 2 hours. We have found that this improves productivity. They will often use this time to hydrate, stretch, plan, update tasks, make calls, etc.
If your assistant must take a break for personal/business reasons, you will not be charged for their time.
REVIEWS
We periodically will ask you to review your Assistants. Your Time has high expectations of our Assistants and we rely on our Clients to inform us of potential problems and/or exceptional service.

With various people in your home/office, we recommend that you keep a lockbox for valuables and controlled substances for which only you have a key. It is the Client’s responsibility to secure checkbooks, credit cards, cash, bank statements, passwords, and other valuables. We complete background checks through Findoutthetruth.com and do thorough reference checks on all of our Assistants. To the extent that you believe your Scope of Work warrants or requires additional checks or investigation, we can arrange more in-depth onsite investigation, background reports, drug testing, driving reports, etc. at an additional fee.
